Circus

I have not been to any circus for ages. Honestly , i have forgotten when was the last time i went. Anyway , there's this small scale circus in town for a week. So just to satiate that childhood crave and reliving that long gone childishness , we decided to attend one of the matinee. And trust me, it's truly worth every single cent we paid.

The Ruins of Devin Castle

As part of the trip to Brastislava , i took a day tour to Devin Castle , which is located about 10 km away from the city centre. Devin Castle , perched high on top of the hill , at the confluence of Danube River and Morava River , has a strategic location of protecting the trade roads in ancient time.

Sadly to say , what is left today is the ruins of it. As most of the castle was destroyed by Napoleon's soldiers in 1800s.

This place exudes an air of mystery and calmness shrouded by it melancholic past. Unlike the city which is crowded with tourists , you can seek peace in mind here. Away from the hustle , back to the nature.

Easter Trip to Bratislava

I have not been very consistent in updating my blog these days. And i ain't sure if there's still anyone checking on it now. Anyway , just for the sake of those who are still interested in knowing my whereabouts and life these days , i will try my best to keep this blog active. (Leave me a short comment to know that you are still reading....)

And i just realise that it is fast turning into a travel log. More of my trips and photos around Europe and very much less on my reflections and thoughts of life. Maybe life has reached a steady-state for the time being. Compared to a year ago when i just reached Czech , where everything is a new experience , everything is an eye-opener and everything seems so different and interesting , i have so much to say about life then.

Well , after a year , it seems that everything has become a norm. When you see girls scantily dressed (or even nude in the sauna...oopss) , it's just their culture. Nothing special. When you see people kissing on the streets , be it gays , lesbians or straights , it's their way of life. It's a liberal country.

And there's less ups and downs in life. And now that i have pretty much get accustomed to the life as a medical student, there are less to get excited about( unlike the 1st time you see a cadaver and dissect one) and complain about too. So life is about study , playing , drinking and the more interesting out of all- traveling. So that's the only thing that i can still share with everyone.

OKOK... Here are some photos from my Easter trip to Bratislava. For those who have not heard of Bratislava , its the capital of Slovakia , neighbour of Czech. And for those who have watched "Hostel 1" , it is here where most part of the film was shot.
