Krakow , 1-2 February 2008

Krakow, a city founded upon defeat of a dragon, is packed with beautiful historic buildings and streetscapes. Though nothing as superb and magnificent as those in Vienna , it remains to hold its own charm and mystery , each telling a story of its dark gloomy past.

The Barbican , a defensive bastion leading towards the old town

St Mary's Church in front of Rynek Glowny ,
Europe's largest medieval town square

Krakow at dawn

Wawel Cathedral
Castle Ground

Street in Old Town

Church of SS Peter and Paul

A trip to Poland won't be complete without visiting Auschwitz ,
the location of history's most extensive experiment in genocide.

Auschwitz , this is where the Nazi killed millions of Jews
