Kudos to the choirs! Though honestly speaking i do not hear any voice from them as the songs played were pre recorded with the singer's voice , i still believe their hard work had paid off well. These over thousand people choir had trained for weeks just to make the day a success. Many of my friends were involved and they had sacrificed their whole holiday just to practise for this event. It was a mentally and physically draining practice. Deprived of sleep , lack of sumptuous food and lost of the WHOLE holiday time.
It looked simple and easy. But just imagine , to coordinate three thousand people to simultaneously change the coloured cards with perfect rhythm and synchronisation , surely it was not a one day job to perfection. Despite slight blemishes here and there , the overall word display can be described as fabulous.
"Daulat tuanku" , "Wawasan 2020" , "Budi Bahasa Budaya Kita" , "Amalan Membaca" , "Cemerlang Gemilang Terbilang" were just a few words showcased that day.
Corporate bodies , government department , private sectors , uniform bodies are all involved in the parade.
One of the team donning futuristic ,robotic costumes in line with government's vision to modernise Malaysia. (But seriously the costumes looked very Power Rangers and Ultraman like)
Even the hardworking ants had now evolved to become metalliclike. Is everything going to change to this kind of look in the future? Even our Malaysian auntie has changed her closet. Sophisticated woman , hmm....
Luckily we still see our traditional costumes on display here. This costume which was once our pride and took the centre stage in any function has now taken the back seat , giving way to the Power Ranger-like costumes which we call modernisation.
Go go Power RangerS! Go GO Malayian Auntie!
