To all my 5M3 classmates ,
This blog is specially for you all..
I have been glancing back at all the photos we took in INTEC. Wow , it's quite a lot indeed. And all the memories kept flowing back.
I did not join you all during the first semester. So I guess our time together was only one and a half year.
My first impression of 5M3? Honestly speaking , I have not gotten any idea of who existed in the class , except for Irene , obviously because she is from Kuching and my classmate in St. Thomas for 2 weeks. Even that, we did not actually talk to each other until we came to INTEC. We were mere acquaintances exchanging greetings once in a while and it was only until I entered 5M3 that we really became friends. Not to say 5M3 , the number of people I knew in ALM can be numbered. The only gang I mixed around with was my classmates in 5M11 and also other second intake students in 5M8. And due to the geographical barrier of my classroom , which was the only class "strategically" located far far away from the ALM block , I could hardly see, not to mention mix around with other ALM friends.
And although I was in the same group with 5M3 during our KoPLN , we could hardly know each other. The only recollections I had was the first session when we introduced ourselves. And I guess that was when I got this infamous "Hi I am Kwan Tuck but you can call me Nicholas" self-introduction verse right? Even then I was not paying any attention so I did not remember any of your names. Haha! Oh ya , I only remembered Devi , the class rep. You are the first to start the ball rolling , and also the one who initiated the ice breaking session. The trait of a class rep. That was all about it since Pn Norziana had cancelled most of the sessions.
Then came the fateful day during second semester when INTEC decided to dissolve our class and allocate us in different classes. And with a twist of fate , i was admitted into 5M3. I was petrified , i felt intimidated by a class full of girlssssss. I knew all this "Girl Power" thing sure worked well in this class.Haha.. Why not? With extremely high level of progesterone and oestrogen and trace amount of testosterone, does Adam have a say here? But as the days passed by , my life seemed brighter and more cheerful. Surrounded by girls was not a bad thing after all.
Chin Yeong - I get to know you through Anju. I was quite desperate to change class on the day Pn Rita made the announcement , and i met Anju and you.And you are the one who suggested me to join your class.
Renly was also Anju's roommate. You messaged me during first semester to throw Anju a surprise birthday party after the final exam. So that's how i started knowing you.
Devi , needless to say , our wonderful class rep and of course the ever so competent project coordinator for PeACE Week and secretary for HATRIC. We have worked together in many projects in INTEC and working with you was truly amazing and fun. I have indeed learnt a lot from you. And remember there was once when you sat beside me in the bus back to hostel and we started chatting ?I guess that was the time we started breaking the ice and getting to know M3 more.
Adeline , haha , hottest girl of ALM. First of all , i sincerely apologise for my "atrocities" towards you. I am straight and blatant. And i feel guilty for laughing at you when your handphone dropped into the toilet bowl. Sometimes i might feel annoyed , but come to think of it again , without you , 5M3 will not be that interesting anymore. You are part of the catalyst that made 5M3 so 5M3.
Alicia , we first met during ALM meeting when you were the official 5M3 representative and i was still in 5M11. The PBSM(pasti balik setiap minggu) group. And thanks for the Penang Feast prepared by your mum!
You Zhuan and Ching Yik, hmm , i think we got to talk a lot when it comes to shopping , movies , books and of course gossips , gossips and more gossips! Hehe. Anyway i really enjoy a lot. And together with Alicia , you three have really got penchant for guys , good looking guys right? Got the photos of my cousin? Had a great feast savouring on those caucasians at Damai Beach?
Wen Chin, you were always sitting in front of me. I know sometimes i did not pay much attention in class. Especially in certain subject. Ehem.. Frequently need you to update me on what the lecturers said. Thanks for being so helpful! Your voice kills! Haha
Cynthia , i think you are the most well-disciplined in the class. Those immaculate handwriting that even amazed Miss Asiah , those bombastic vocabulary in your essays , and those beyond-syllabus-knowledge in Chemistry really wonder me.
I have been classmate with Hui Shan since day one. With really mature thinking , we can talk on tons and tons of things from politics to social problems to world news. And we will be meeting in the Czech Republic soon.
Xiao Ying , my best informant for the best deals in town.
Poh Yee , the songbird. You are the only one who sang in class , sometimes quite loudly. But nice voice , so no voice pollution detected. Haha.
I had a lot of wonderful times with you all. The monthly birthday parties , our gathering at MacD , and our wonderful trip to Tioman. Oh ya ,i remember the birthday cake you all got for me "Dear Nicholas , hope you enjoy your stay in 5M3". And I did!
Miss you all! All the best in IMU ! Good Luck!
